The Yacht Basin at
Fishermen's Village!
Fishermen's Village Yacht Basin has embarked upon the process
of renovating the marina by performing dredging and replacement
maintenance of the main docks. State and Federal permits
have been obtained and work is scheduled to begin in early
January, 2006. The renovation will result in reconfiguration
of the marina. The Harbormaster's office will be moved
from B dock to a landside location, and six additional slips
will be added at the end of B dock, for a total of 97 transient
slips. In addition, the fuel dock will be relocated
nearer to shore. A new dinghy dock will also be constructed.
Effective January 1st, 2006, the Yacht
Basin will be closed to the general boating public, and
we will suspend wastewater holding tank pump outs.
Our courtesy dock in front and to the west side of Harpoon
Harry's remains available for day use only. We expect
to reopen the fuel dock, holding tank pumps outs, and
transient slips in the west basin sometime in April, 2006.
The entire project will be complete in late summer, 2006.
We have a waiting list for slips. If you would like
further information regarding slip availability, or wish
to be placed on the waiting list, please call the harbormaster
at 941-575-3000.
